Collection: Czech Seed Beads

Since 2002, we have supplied authentic Czech glass seed beads sourced directly from Preciosa Ornella (formerly Jablonex). Today we no longer must surrender our passports before we enter the factory. Yes, it is true! A hangover from the communist days, but still practiced up until 2007.

These beads are world-renowned for their superior quality, machine-cut regularity, and colourfast finishes. Our extensive selection is available online in both bulk 500-gram bags and 20-gram retail packets.

We stock several core sizes based on the traditional "aught" system:

  - 15/0 (1.5mm): Super tiny, 0.7mm hole – approx. 250 beads per gram.
  - 11/0 (2mm): Tiny, over 40 colours – approx. 110 beads per gram.
  - 8/0 (3.5mm): Small, over 50 colours – approx. 39 beads per gram.
  - 5/0 (5mm): Medium, over 70 colours – approx. 7 beads per gram.

These versatile beads are perfect for bead stringing, embroidery, crochet, and various hand-weaving stitches.

Bugle Beads
These narrow cylindrical tubes are longer than they are thick, ensuring a distinct tubular shape. We stock over 80 different colours, sizes, and finishes (including silver-lined, matte, pearl, and iris) from 4mm to 30mm. They are available in smooth, twisted, and cut surface styles in the following lengths:

  - #0.5: 1.6mm
  - #2: 4mm
  - #3: 6mm
  - #5: 11mm
  - We also offer longer lengths: 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, and 30mm.

Two-Cut Beads
These precision-crafted glass beads feature two flat, faceted cuts that reflect light beautifully, providing a distinctive angular sparkle. They are ideal for intricate beadwork, embroidery, and jewellery designs.
