The bar has a roller catch and is riveted so it is extra secure. Attach the bar with the hinge on the right side. It can be either sewn onto fabric or glued onto glass, wood, plastic etc. Use an epoxy glue e.g Araldite
Tip: place the brooch bar backing in the upper third of the brooch to prevent it from tipping forward when wearing.
