Chunky Leaf 42x30mm Antique Silver Metalised Plastic Beads 1980s

Metalised plastic beads have a metallic finish coating. The varnish creates a hardened shell around the bead, which is resistant to chipping. They are lead free and come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and patterns. They can lend to a desired "chunky" look without adding a lot of weight. These large chunky leaf beads have deep veining and are drilled horizontally, 10mm from the top. They have a flat back so can be either strung or sewn and originate from Italy in the 1980s.
