These vintage Bohemian art glass matt green beads were designed to mimic matte, porous, or earthy textures through unique mould-work, acid-washing, and specialised tumbling techniques that remove the natural glossy sheen to replicate the dry, tactile look of fired clay or primitive earthenware.
Era of Production: Circa 1920s to 1940s (Art Deco era), with similar pressed techniques extending into the mid-20th century by the state producer Jablonex.
