Handmade Czech Aventurine Glass Bead Square 12mm Olive

These olive square 12mm lampwork glass beads are handmade in the Czech Republic. They are worked over a flame which is supplied by natural gas to generate the heat required to melt the glass. The process in which they are made is the same today as it was hundreds of years ago. The beads have a border which is decorated by “painting” trails of molten glass from smaller canes to create unique pieces of art using gold stone (aventurine, which is a glass paste composed of copper powder) which gives a shimmering or inner sparkle appearance to the beads. Please note that due to the nature of these being individually handmade, each piece is unique. Thank you for your understanding and for supporting handmade craftsmanship.
