Sommerso pendants are paired with a contrasting 14mm Czech glass bauble. A vintage brass dangle hangs from the bottom & the pendant on a fine brass ball chain. The sommerso pendants are made exclusively for Bead Vault.
What is sommerso? (From Italian "Sommerso" - submerged). Creates a layered appearance where one coloured layer of glass is covered by another layer of differently-coloured glass. This effect is achieved by repeatedly dipping a glass object into molten glass of another colour. This technique was invented in Murano, Venice in the 1930's.
