These extra long gold plated head pins are 75mm or 3 inches in length. Headpins are pre-cut lengths of wire and an essential finding. Pins are a jewellery designer staple. They are the "spine" of most earrings and link beads together. The head serves as a stopper to hold beads or other components on the wire, and they are also referred to as bead pins. The open end of the headpin is then used to create a loop, using a pair of round nose pliers, forming a dangle or link for earrings, pendants, or charms, with the beads or other elements secured by the head. The ideal length to form a loop is 7-10mm. They can be cut to a shorter length using wire cutters.
