Why Use Oval Rings? The tension point is at either end of the oval and the opening is on the side which makes it more secure!

Opening & Closing Jump rings – using two pliers, hold the opened jump ring with the pliers in your dominant hand and with a small twist pull the other pliers towards you.
Never pull apart the ring as this will cause metal fatigue.
