These striped
seed
beads are used mainly in Africa in traditional jewellery and adornment
and were made by Czech makers in the 1700s for trade. The various colour
combinations have
different spiritual meanings and are connected to tribal culture and
beliefs.

The beads are made by mixing two or more glass colors for a striped effect which will add an ethnic tribal feel to your jewellery with these hard to find Czech glass seed beads.

They are size 31 (approximately 7mm) which means they are “Extra
Large” seed beads. They are very uncommon and sometimes referred to as
“potatoes”.
